White Water Taster Holiday

Dates Any time from the end of April until mid August subject to availability.

From 491€ per person for a week of white water fun in a choice of self catering or catered accommodation.

Choose from a variety of accommodation and transport options with this holiday to suit your needs, wishes and budget. Or if you fancy staying in some of our other accommodation or would like to try a few different activities please contact us to tailor make your holiday.

All prices include:

• 7 nights accommodation in a choice of half board, bed and breakfast or or self catered accommodation

• 6 afternoons on a variety of rivers and lakes in a range of different crafts (see example itinerary) with fully qualified and experienced white water guides and all equipment (wetsuits, helmets, life jackets etc) included.

• 1/2 day on a high ropes adventure course (the biggest in Europe!) - just for change from the water!

• choice of transport options (local transport to and from activities can either be provided by us or you can self drive)

We use a variety of different lakes and rivers, from large alpine lakes to gentle flowing rivers to big white water rapids and drops. The guides will judge which river to use on a daily basis according to the water levels and ability of the group.

Each day you will be offered a choice of different crafts to negotiate the rapids with. Generally the bigger the craft the more stable you are and the smaller the craft the more you feel the rapids! The guides will help you choose to progress at your level throughout the week.

And, as we are privileged to have Europe's biggest high ropes adventure course on our doorstep, we have included a taster morning here as well! It will give your feet a chance to dry out!

Children must be aged 12 or over for hydrospeed and 8 or over for all other white water activities. All participants must be able to swim at least 25 metres.

We can help you organise your travel here and can book trains, but not flights (it is cheaper for you to book directly with a budget airline).

We can also help with information and advice about airport parking or airport hotels

Once you arrive at your train station or airport you can either self drive (we can organise a hire car for you) or we can arrange a transfer to get you here.

Self Drive Option

If you prefer the flexibility of having your own car so you can visit the region; go to restaurants, spend a morning at the swimming pool or lake or visit the markets, when you aren't hurtling down the rapids, then this option is for you.

If you don't want to drive here all the way from the UK, we can organise you a hire car to be collected from the airport or station you arrive at.

When you arrive at your accommodation we will meet you to explain the week and give you maps and directions for getting to the white water meeting points and the ropes adventure course. They are all easy to find so don't worry about getting lost! And we can also suggest walks and other things to do near the meeting points if you would like to have a full day out.

Transport included option

If driving abroad isn't your thing or you would much rather let someone else do it all, then this is for you. The price includes the same holiday as above plus transport to and from all the scheduled activities.

If you would like to visit the region in your spare time whilst you are here, we can organise local taxis for you.

We can also organise a transfer for you from a local airport or train station.

White Water taster Example Itinerary

We have put together an example itinerary for you so you can get an iddea of what you could be in store for on a white water fun taster week.

But it is not set in stone and we can adapt it to suit you.

It is designed to be progressive so that by the end of the week you are hopefully more in control of the river than it is of you!!

White Water Taster - Self Catering

From 491€ per adult and 441€ per child for a weeks white water fun staying in a choice of self catering accommodation. This is a self catering option with the white water taster activity package and a choice of different transport possibilities.

For larger groups, we recommend staying at Cecile's farm which sleeps up to 10 people and for smaller groups we recommend the chalets on the camp site in Ancelle, which sleep from 2 - 5 people.

White Water Taster - Bed and Breakfast

599€ per adult and 549€ per child for a weeks white water fun staying at La Combe Fleurie bed and breakfast with a choice of half board or bed and breakfast and different transport options.

La Combe Fleurie is a superb bed and breakfast situated in the medieval village of St Bonnet. You are centrally located for all the rivers and have the advantage of beautiful views and a really friendly place to stay!
