Mountains in the winter are a truly spectacular sight and there is no better way to take in the views than on foot - well snow feet!
Snowshoeing is one of the most popular winter activities in Champsaur and Valgaudemar. It's very easy to do and is great fun for all ages and abilities. Have a read of the highlights of our

You strap racket shaped attachments to your walking boots and once you've mastered the technique (levelling your weight over the shoes), pristine winter wonderlands become accessible to all - perfect for escaping the hubbub of the ski resorts.

If you want to go it alone then we can arrange for your snowshoes and poles to be waiting for you at your accommodation. However, please note that the risk of avalanche in the mountains in winter is very real and we would recommend you have experience of the mountains in winter before venturing out without a guide.
