The great thing about mountain biking in France is that as long as you aren't riding inside a national park, you can go anywhere! You aren't restricted to bridleways!!
Our mountain biking base is situated just on the edge, but not actually in the Ecrins National park in the Southern French Alps. With dramatic mountain scenery, wildlife and flowers in abundance and the freedom to ride wherever you like, it is a paradise for mountain bikers and recreational riders alike.
Most of our mountain bike trips are situated in this beautiful region or will pass through it on a long distance route. However, we do also have routes taking in Mont Blanc, Provence and even down to the Mediterranean!
All the trips on our site are on a self guided basis where we plan your route and provide you with personalised GPS tracks and maps and arrange your accommodation and baggage transfers.
For the route planning, we work in partnership with Laurent from Cap Liberte who is a very experienced mountain bike guide with years of experience and knowledge of mountain biking in the Alps. He has been involved in the creation of some of the well known long distance routes, has written for local mountain bike guidebooks and is the founder of Cap Liberte.

For all our mountain biking trips we can also provide a guided version, so please ask us if you are interested in being guided. All the guides we use are fully qualified and experienced mountain bikers and are all local to the area so will be able to take you to those lesser known tracks only known to them!!

This is a fabulous self guided mountain bike ride traversing the valleys and mountains around the famous Verdon Gorge and taking in some of the most stunning limestone scenery in the world. A technically challenging ride with long days and a fair amount of ascent and descent.
