The great thing about mountain biking in France is that as long as you aren't riding inside a national park, you can go anywhere! You aren't restricted to bridleways!!
Our mountain biking base is situated just on the edge, but not actually in the Ecrins National park in the Southern French Alps. With the dramatic mountain scenery, wildlife and flowers of one of the most beautiful national parks in France all around and the freedom to ride wherever you like, it is a paradise for mountain bikers and recreational riders alike.
Participate in one of the international mountain biking events held in the area or choose one of our mountain biking tours or holidays. Most of our mountain bike trips are situated in this beautiful region or will pass through it on a long distance route. However, we do also have routes taking in Mont Blanc, Provence and even down to the Mediterranean!
For our self guided mountain bike trips, we work in partnership with Laurent from Cap Liberte who is a very experienced mountain bike guide with years of experience and knowledge of mountain biking in the Alps. He has been involved in the creation of some of the well known long distance routes, has written for local mountain bike guidebooks and is the founder of Cap Liberte.

Start in the snow capped mountains of one of the most dramatic mountain ranges of the French Alps, the Ecrins, and end up in the lavender fields of Provence. A spectacular mountain bike ride with varied scenery and a range of routes for all levels from beginners to experienced bikers.

Included in the programme are timed 40 and 60 km races, non-timed leisure rides of 20km, 40km and 70 km and 5 Enduro and kids races.

Discover the hidden forest paths and tracks, the gentle, and not so gentle single track descents and swim in secret bays around the Lac de Serre Poncon (largest damned lake in Western Europe).
Our guide will take you totally off the beaten track to a secret wilderness of trails and tracks that aren't in the guides.
The tour is possible over three or four days and can be adapted to any level from beginners and families to experienced mountain bikers.
We have a range of weekend and week holidays taking in the trip.
