The Adventure Youth Hostel is one of our most popular group accommodation centres. It is a superb dormitory style private youth hostel situated in the beautiful alpine village of Piscancon at the head of the Champsaur valley. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like a quote for different accommodation.

There are several dormitories all differently decorated from alpine chalet style to retro 60s! You will have your own dormitories for your group so you don't have to share with strangers.

The shower and toilet facilities are shared but are very clean and well maintained.

With a large communal dining area, games room and garden it's very sociable and a fun place to spend your holiday!

It is ideal for groups of any size up to 40. There is a minimum group size of 12 people per booking.

There are hundreds of beautiful snowshoe walks to choose from and we will tailor make your itinerary to suit the fitness level and interests of your group. You can walk through forests, over frozen lakes, go wildlife tracking, run across open snow meadows, go up to a summit, over a col or along the valley floor with the mountains in all their winter glory towering over you. You can even go out for a moonlit snowshoe.

Prices Include

• 4 nights (for long weekend breaks) or 7 nights accommodation with a choice of half or full board in fantastic group youth hostel, Adventure Youth Hostel

• Guided snowshoeing - either 2 half days and 1 full day (for long weekend) or 3 half days and 2 full days with qualified professionals - accompagnateur en montagne or UIAGM high mountain guide.

• Snowshoes and poles

• Maps and advice for walks and things to do in your free time

• Choice of transport options (transfers and local transport to and from the snowshoe walks can either be provided by us or you can self drive) - see options below

Self Drive Option

If you prefer the flexibility of having your own minibus or coach so you can visit the region; go to restaurants, spend a morning at the swimming pool or visit the markets, when you aren't snowshoeing through the winter wilderness, then this option is for you.

When you arrive at your accommodation we will meet you to explain the week and give you maps and directions for getting to the snowshoe walks. They are all easy to find so don't worry about getting lost!

Transport Included Option

If driving abroad isn't your thing or you would much rather let someone else do it all, then this is for you. The price includes the same holiday as above plus a transfer from Gap train station and transport to and from all the snowshoe walks. We can arrange transport from other stations and airports so please contact us with your travel plans and we will tailor make you a quote.

Food Options

Full board includes a continental breakfast, picnic lunch if out and about or a warm lunch at the gite, an afternoon snack and evening meal.

Half board includes an evening meal and continental breakfast.

The menu includes local specialities and traditional french dishes. All dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.

Other Options
