Gite L'Aventure - Snowshoeing

Take a long weekend break to recharge your batteries in the sun and snow from £229 per person or indulge yourself with a full week of snowshoeing in the winter wildernesses of the Champsaur and Valgaudemar valleys from £399 per person.

The Gite L'Aventure is a superb dormitory style Gite situated in the beautiful alpine village of Piscancon at the head of the Champsaur valley.

There are several dormitories all differently decorated from alpine chalet style to retro 60s! Wherever possible, we will always try to give you your own dormitories for your group so you don't have to share with strangers.

The shower and toilet facilities are shared but are very clean and well maintained.

With a large communal dining area, games room and garden it's very sociable and a fun place to spend your holiday!

It is ideal for groups of any size up to 40. There is a minimum group size of 8 people per booking.

The Gite L'Aventure are totally flexible on which day you arrive and leave so you can take advantage of cheap mid week flights.

• 7 nights accommodation in the Gite L'Aventure with a choice of full or half board - see options below.

• 4 half days and 2 full days guided snowshoeing

• Choice of transport options (transfers and local transport to and from the snowshoe walks can either be provided by us or you can self drive) - see options below.

Self Drive Option

If you prefer the flexibility of having your own car so you can visit the region; go to restaurants, spend a morning at the swimming pool or visit the markets, when you aren't snowshoeing through the winter wilderness, then this option is for you .

If you don't want to drive here all the way from the UK, we can organise a hire car for you from any airport or station.

When you arrive at your accommodation we will meet you to explain the week and give you maps and directions for getting to the snowshoe walks. They are all easy to find so don't worry about getting lost!

Transport Included Option

If driving abroad isn't your thing or you would much rather let someone else do it all, then this is for you. The price includes the same holiday as above plus a transfer from either Grenoble, Chambery or Marseille airports and transport to and from all the snowshoe walks.

Food Options

Full board includes a continental breakfast, picnic lunch if out and about or a warm lunch at the gite, an afternoon snack and evening meal.

Half board includes an evening meal and continental breakfast.

The menu includes local specialities and traditional french dishes. All dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.
