Cecile's Farmhouse

It is perfectly possible to tailor make a trip for you with more or less guided snowshoe walks or to add other activities so please don't hesitate to get in touch with your ideas.

Cecile's Farm is a beautiful renovated farmhouse, with four bedrooms (two double and two with bunks and single beds), a large open plan kitchen diner with an archway through to the cosy lounge with open fire. There are two bathrooms and a private garden.

They work on a Saturday to Saturday basis, but if you want to take advantage of cheaper flights and arrive or leave on a different day, please contact us. It is possible to organise extra nights either end of a week's holiday in a local hotel or bed and breakfast.

This is a totally flexible holiday where you choose which snowshoe walks you would like to do from our weekly programme. We will meet you at the beginning of the week to go through the options available and book you onto the snowshoe walks you like the look of. We will also suggest self guided walks and snowshoe walks that are safe to do on your own and things to do in your free time.

The weekly programme includes several of choices of half day and full day snowshoe walks for all levels of fitness and to accommodate different interests including wildlife spotting, snowshoeing through high altitude villages, moonlit snowshoe walks, high altitude lakes, snowshoeing through the larches, mountain ridges..... and more.

Please note these snowshoe walks may not all be available for your week as the programme is adapted to make the most of local conditions nearer the time. All the snowshoe walks on the programme are also subject to minimum group numbers of four. If your chosen walk does not have the required numbers you will offered the choice to pay a supplement to cover the guide fee or a different snowshoe walk.

Self Catering Prices 2012/13

These prices are based on taking the whole house so if there are six of you you will be sharing the four bedrooms between you. It is possible to rent for smaller groups if you would like a bedroom to yourself and lots of luxurious space. Just contact us and we'll do you a quote.

Transport and Getting Here

We highly recommend you self drive rather than let us drive you to and from the snowshoe walks for this holiday as the area has so much to offer and for you to explore in your free time. However, if you would like a quote for a transport included holiday, please just let us know when you make your enquiry. For large groups of 6 or more people it can often work out more cost effective and practical for us to arrange your transport so it is worth asking.

When you arrive at your accommodation we will meet you to explain the week and give you maps and directions for getting to the guided snowshoe walks as well as suggestions of self guided snowshoe walks and things to do in your free time. They are all easy to find so don't worry about getting lost!
