The
Bear Stone is an traditional alpine farmhouse that has been beautifully restored by Marie and Xavier. It is situated in the heart of the Champoleon valley with great access to all the activities. There are snowshoe walks right from the door and the peace and quiet and dramatic surroundings make this a great place to stay.
When you arrive at the farmhouse we'll come and meet you to welcome you to the area, explain the week, give you your snowshoes and poles, your activity vouchers and directions and generally aim to take the hassle out of your holiday! We are around all week during your holiday for any questions or queries and for advice on events and sightseeing opportunities in the area.

It is possible to eat evening meals at the local Auberge (only a minute walk from the farmhouse). If you would like us to arrange this for you, please just mention it when enquiring!

Bear Stone on a bed and breakfast basis.

9 activity points per person which you can exchange for a range of activities from our
winter activity list.

Leisure card worth 35.50€ per booking for the famous glass walled 'palais du sport' swimming pool, ice skating, bowling and relaxation spa in Orcieres (only a 15 minute drive).

Snowshoes and poles for 6 days
•
Maps, route guidance and advice for safe, self guided snowshoe walks, local markets and events and other sightseeing opportunities for when you aren't on organised activities.
Transport and Getting Here
The Bear Stone is situated in the Champoleon valley. While it is remote, you will never feel out of it all if you have your own transport. We highly recommend you self drive rather than let us drive you to and from the activities if you stay here as public transport is limited and the area has so much to offer and for you to explore in your free time.
