Ancelle is the biggest of the ski villages and is situated on a large plateau at 1340m, surrounded by mountains.
It goes up to 1800 m in altitude and boasts beautiful views of the Drac valley, Devoluy and the Ecrins National Park.
The ski area of Ancelle combines a variety of exposures and good snow conditions with gentle gradients making it perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers.
The village itself is full of character and has a range of restaurants and bars.
There's a beautiful cross country skiing area, through woods and on the plateau of Ancelle, as well as several good snowshoe walks if you want a change from skiing.
Or you can try husky dog sledging, and ski joering.
There’s also a great sledging area – and not just for the little ones!!
