Your Alpine Challenge Week
This action-packed programme takes place in the little known Champsaur valley, at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park. With 300 days of sunshine per year, spectacular scenery and a strong traditional culture, it is one of the Alps’ best kept secrets. A quiet and safe location makes it an ideal destination for students and teachers alike who wish to discover their adventurous side whilst enjoying the natural beauty of this Alpine region.
Our Alpine Challenge Week incorporates an exciting mixture of land-based activities and watersports that gives students the opportunity to learn and apply a range of new skills whilst having fun and enjoying this unspoilt Alpine region.
The activities require teamwork, planning and communication skills and give the students the opportunity to increase their confidence, self-esteem and improve their interaction with other students and staff and are among the many benefits students can take back with them and into the classroom, as well as a head full of great memories.
All our guides are fully qualified in their field, professional and have a wealth of experience in working with school and college groups.
This also goes for our accommodation partners. With one of the highest concentrations of ‘Centre de Vacances’ (outdoor education centres) in the Alps; the Champsaur valley is already an established destination for schools across France and Belgium. Children come here all year round on skiing, summer activity and educational trips to discover new sports and activities, the mountain environment and themselves.
Our in-depth knowledge of the area, coupled with our close contact with local activity and accommodation providers means we are able to provide an opportunity for English schools and colleges to experience a challenging activity week in a true alpine environment in safety.
This programme is suitable for students aged 12 and over but can be adapted for different age groups and can also be themed with a focus on particular subjects such as geography, biology, ecology or French – just let us know!
